Application

Thanks to the 4-sided coating of the pressure distributing foam, the abrasive sponges are ideal for processing rebates, edges and surfaces. They are very aggressive and robust with a consistent surface quality.

Sanding sponges are used (dry and wet sanding) in the wood, paint and varnish processing industry for sanding paint, filler, old varnish, for sanding wood, metal, plastic before applying paint, for sanding paint in rabbets and on surfaces, for removing paint runs and coating defects, for intermediate sanding of varnish and for sanding out varnish defects

Abrasives on foam backing are used today in all applications (dry and wet) where a flexible abrasive is required. They are the solution to many grinding problems. Simple, fast and safe. Special attention should be paid to the fact that by coating the foam directly with abrasive grain, a considerably finer sanding pattern is achieved.

The carrier is foam. Therefore, scattered grain and the achieved grinding pattern differ in comparison to sandpaper.

We therefore state Grit = scattered grit / image = corresponds approximately to the grinding pattern of sandpaper (e.g. grit 100 with abrasives on foam = comparable sandpaper approx. p 220).
