Application
Textile industry, mining, construction, iron and steel industry, car body work, wood processing (including oak, beech and exotic woods), agriculture and horticulture, food industry, metal processing, pharmaceuticals, nuclear industry, hazardous waste treatment, batteries (Ni-Cad), biohazardous substances, etc. Protects against dust, mist and smoke with calcium carbonate, clay, kaolin, cellulose, cotton, flour, ferrous metals, cement, sodium silicate, sulphur, glass fibre and plastic, hardwood, carbon, quartz, non-ferrous metals, copper, Aluminium, barium, titanium, vanadium, chromium, manganese, molybdenum, antimony, nickel, platinum, rhodium, strychnine, uranium, weakly radioactive particles, vegetable and mineral oils, auxiliary materials for metal processing (this list is not exhaustive)
Maximum level of protection
applicable against solid and/or liquid aerosols up to a maximum pollutant concentration of 30 x mak* (according to en 149:2001). Restrictions may apply for specific hazardous substances. Please observe applicable safety and occupational safety standards.
Limit of application
This filtering half-mask should not be used: - if the oxygen content of the ambient air is less than 17% by volume; - if the pollutants or their concentration is unknown or is classified as directly hazardous to health or life; - if the pollutant concentration exceeds the applicable safety and occupational health standards or 30 times mak* - if there is more than one pollutant, the lowest value is decisive; - against gases or vapours - for fire-fighting.
Attention
Please ensure that the degree of protection provided by the respirator is sufficient for the pollutant(s) and their concentration in the work area. Use by trained and qualified personnel only. Tightness can hardly be achieved if the mask is placed on beard or stubble. This respirator does not provide oxygen.
